We recycle polystyrene foam (EPS #6) packaging and insulation board at our manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ. We seek clean EPS, of any color or shape used to protect VCRs, TVs, appliances, furniture and other sensitive items during shipment.
The EPS is ground up and used to make the APEX Block.

Recycling Expanded Polystyrene (EPS #6)
APEX accepts EPS (plastics code #6) baled, loose in bags, strapped in bundles, banded, palletized or shrink-wrapped which effectively contains the material for ease of loading or unloading.
Clean EPS that is not contaminated with other materials or waste such as food, metal, tape, labels, pebbles, dirt, corrugated, wood, paper or any other plastics is accepted. Wet, dirty EPS will NOT be accepted. All colored EPS and any type (fire retardant or regular) is acceptable.
EXAMPLES OF WHAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE:
- Meat trays
- Foam cups
- Egg cartons
- Take out containers
- Plastic bottles
- Bubble wrap
- Packing peanuts, etc.
APEX reserves the right to reject EPS that does not meet the above specifications. All rejected material will be returned to the supplier at their expense.
