Dale was the original Investment Banker whose client first introduced the APEX Block™ technology to the United States in 2003. He has been actively involved with APEX for over 6 years. Before he provided funding to APEX years ago, Dale was diligent in attending both the fire tests and seismic sheer testing of the APEX Block ™, performing extensive due diligence. Dale has raised millions of dollars for both private and public companies over the past 15 years, most recently leading the acquisition of the assets of APEX, employing his extensive experience and background in Manufacturing, Accounting, Structured Finance, and Investment Banking. His vision, enthusiasm, and success are a shared by the entire APEX Management Team. Dale R. Siens is a graduate of OIT (Oregon Institute of Technology, the MIT of the WEST)!
Ernie or the “mad scientist” as we affectionately call him, comes to the APEX team with a wealth of knowledge, having graduated from University of California Santa Barbara with a B.A. Math, in 1972. He is also an Analog design and Analog theory engineer. Ernie Richards holds several patents, and working with APEX has plowed new areas of technology, developing patents with APEX in regards to cement and the APEX formulae. His scientific skills are a corner stone to the success of APEX. Ernie is a successful real estate developer in Wikieup, AZ, and a valued APEX investor. His other interests are Chess USCF 2035, Go 10 Kyu AGA, and bridge.
Scott has over 30 years directing fiberglass reinforced plastics efforts in the boating industry, the last 27 at Bayliner/US Marine. For the past 20 years Scott worked as the production manager for the Roseburg facility. Scott was the site manager his last year prior to Bayliner discontinuing Roseburg operations. His expertise in manufacturing management has positively impacted our Phoenix manufacturing facility. Scott will drive installation, testing and qualification of the new MP(x)-180 systems.
Being a lifelong resident of Roseburg, Oregon, J.R. graduated from the Oregon State University – Construction Management Program and has 35 years of experience in all phases of residential, commercial and industrial construction. J.R. specializes in concrete construction and pre-engineered steel structures.
Sylvia Hale joins the APEX Block team as their new Corporate Financial Accountant. Sylvia has over 20 years of experience in Accounting, Financial, and Management. She was born and raised in North Bend Oregon and attended South Western Community College in Coos Bay Oregon. Sylvia is very anxious to learn the ropes of the manufacturing business.
Kym worked in the Financial Industry for seven years before coming to join us at APEX Block. This along with her willingness to learn has helped her to step into APEX Block with the knowledge of taking over the Human Resources Department. As the company is continuing to grow Kym is keeping the structure and the organization intact.
Rachael brings 16 years of marketing and advertising experience to APEX Block derived from her work in the wireless phone and wine industries. She enjoys using a unique and creative approach to advertising that triggers customers to take a fresh look at a product. Rachael is from Corvallis, OR and is an Oregon State University Alumni.
Steve has 20 years of Supervision and Management at Brunswick’s Bayliner Boat Manufacturing facility in Roseburg, Oregon- he managed wood, upholstery, fiberglass repair, loading and assembly departments. As the Plant Production Manager, Steve was instrumental in the transition from a station and batch build process to a single flowing line integrating 12 models of boats from 17 feet to 34 feet. He has vast knowledge in LEAN Manufacturing and continues that with APEX Block. He is instrumental to the key knowledge of APEX’s Manufacturing. Steve graduated from the University Of Michigan, School of Engineering, and LEAN Manufacturing Training Program 2003. He also graduated from Portland Community College LEAN Office and Administration Trainer Program 2008. Also, he is a LEAN Implementation Trainer/Coach for the W3 Group LLC Since 2008.
After graduating from the University of Michigan with an engineering degree and from Central Michigan University with a Masters in Industrial Management, Steve spent over 30 years in engineering and manufacturing in the automotive industry. He has practical hands-on experience with implementing LEAN manufacturing concepts in Brownfield as well as brand new facilities and processes. He has held increasingly responsible positions in senior management throughout his career. Steve’s experience with supply chain management in start-up ventures, most recently, adds value to his responsibilities to make the Phoenix plant the best it can be. His overall career experience is an asset that will help the APEX management team achieve success as the company evolves and grows nationally and internationally.
Kevin is a big asset in the APEX Block Team. Besides organizing and coordinating the Phoenix plant, he is establishing and implementing multimedia documents for Corporate Expansion. He has a B.A. in Communication Studies from University of Minnesota and Treasurer of the Communication Studies Association of the University of Minnesota and Treasurer of the Communications Studies Association of the University of Minnesota; pursuing an M.B.A. with Human Resources emphasis from Grand Canyon University.
With more than two decades of sales and management experience in the building materials industry, Michael Haynes has developed a proven track record of results. During his tenure with CertainTeed, Inc. Alside, Inc and Kaycan, LTD, Michael has spearheaded the launch of several new products virtually putting products on the map. A proven trainer, presenter, mentor and leader, Michael is versed in all exterior building envelope codes covering the entire Western region and continues to expand his knowledge. Trained in such world renowned courses as Dale Carnegie, Franklin Covey, Dr. Glen Pfau and Lean manufacturing, Michael is a true seasoned result oriented professional.
Colin came to APEX Block with ten years background in all alternative building, specializing in ICFs. He oversees the Product Training for Contractors, Engineers, and Architects. Colin attended the University of New Mexico for Construction Management.
Sue, along with her past real estate career and 25 years of customer service experience, brings vast experience to APEX Block. She is able to provide competent assistance to all departments within the company. Her office skills make her an exceptional employee.
